Position Summary:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Scientist for the department of OB/GYN for the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The primary role of the clinical Research Scientist III (RS III) position, under the direction of the Principal Investigator, is to manage daily clinical and population research activities and to function as the primary contact for various external collaborators, and inter-institutional departments to ensure compliance with institutional, federal, and state regulatory agencies.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Assists the PI and the team with the design, planning, and implementation of studies, including designing the statistical approach plans for data analysis.
- Prepares data collection forms, surveys, tables, and figures.
- Develops and implements data and statistical analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Interprets data and analyzes results using cutting-edge statistical techniques.
- Assist with drafting of manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications.
- Prepares reports for studies containing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Master's Degree in a relevant science. Two (2) years of related research experience. A Doctorate in a relevant science may be substituted for two (2) years of experience indicated above.

- Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing. No special vision requirements. Lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Work Environment: Lab environment. Moderate noise. Exposure to blood, excrement, antineoplastic drugs, and possible exposure to infectious and communicable diseases. Universal precautions are mandatory. Exposure to hazardous chemicals.
